Life
My husband Alan Lee, the love of my life, passed away on March 14, 2008.
My Pets: I recently had to have my English Bulldog Curly put to sleep. I loved him so much and it was extremely hard for me to do. I still have my adopted 13 year old English Bulldog named Cocoa. I have adopted another dog, part
Catahoula Leopard dog, his name is Colby. Last year on Valentines day he was running in my "back forty" and ran right into me and simultaneously I heard my right ankle snap and I went down. I had to pick up my foot and align it with my leg, and then started calling for help. Forty-five minutes later a neighbor down the road found me and called 911. I have a plate and screws in my ankle and now I have resumed a normal life.
I am quite pleased to say that I am retired and I love every minute of...Expand for more
retirement. I live out in the country and am visited by various critters such as, armadillos, a pair of Sandhill cranes, turtles, raccoons, wild hogs,etc. I have several bird feeders and one of my favorite things to do is bird watch. What with Charlotte Harbor and the Peace River being practically at my doorstep, I bought a small boat and enjoy taking it out just to cruise around and to fish. I also enjoy antique shopping in Arcadia, which is about 25 miles North from where I live.
I just acquired a telescope and hope to do some star gazing. I also have acquired a kayak and can't wait to get out and have some fun with it..
I hope that my classmates remember me as friendly and artistic. I bet if they remember anything about me they probably remember that I lived in Doodletown (and I loved it.)
